Shawn Holmes is the youngest head coach in NFL history, and his team currently holds the best record in the league. He’s distracted, though, by his best friend, Lacey Daniels, sitting in the stands at his game with a date. 

When Lacey’s date refuses to kiss her on the kiss cam, she’s mortified… until Shawn saves the day, cutting an interview short to kiss her in front of seventy thousand screaming dans.

The kiss doesn’t mean anything. But when the video goes viral in a matter of hours, Lacey and Shawn are forced to reevaluate how to handle the publicity. 

They agree on a simple solution: a fake relationship through the holidays. It’s mutually beneficial: it gets Shawn’s family off his back about bringing home a significant other for Christmas, and it makes Lacey look good at her office Christmas party.

As the weather turns colder and they spend more time pretending, things between Lacey and Shawn heat up. Soon, faking it feels like the best relationship both have ever had. With New Year’s approaching, will they realize how much they care about each other, or end the agreement and move on?
